'Exercices et Travaux pour les Enfants Selon la Méthode et les Procédés de Pestalozzi et de Froebel' by Fanny and Charles Delon, which was published by Librairie Hachette in Paris in 1873, contains illustrations of Folds of Beauty, some of which are developed from the Windmill Base and the Windmill.

The third edition of 'Der Kindergarten' by Hermann Goldammer, which was published by Carl Babel in Berlin in 1874, contains several plates picturing various Forms of Beauty. Plates 42 and 43 show forms developed from the Windmill Base.

'Spiel und Arbeit' by Hugo Elm, which was published by Verlag und Drud der Otto Spamer in Leipzig in 1874. There are a number of plates showing Folds of Beauty designs developed from the Windmill Base.

Several decorations developed from the Windmill Base appear in 'Trabajo Manual' by C Champy Alvear, which was published by Cabaut y Cia in Buenos Aires in 1913.

Designs for two octagonal decorations folded from squares appear in 'Origami Shuko' by Isao Honda, which was published in 1944.

1951

A basic decoration simply called 'la rosace' appears in 'Occupons nos doigts' by Raymond Richard which was published by Les Editions du Cep Beaujolais in Villefranche-sur-Rhone in 1951.

These three Square Decorations developed from the Windmill Base appear under the title 'How to Fold Flowers' in 'Origami to Kirinuki' by Saburo Ueda, which was published by Kokkado in Tokyo, most probably in 1951.

Several square decorations developed from Windmill bases appear in Plegado laminas published by Della Penna, April 1951.

One of the designs that appeared in Origami Shuko also appears, as 'An Octangular Case', in 'All About Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published by Toto Bunka Company, Limited in Tokyo in 1960.

The other design that appeared in Origami Shuko also appears in 'The World of Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published in the USA by Japan Publications Trading Company in 1965.
