should be added. Thank you. Four Kites is a flat decoration developed from the Windmill Base. There are many decoratiove variations of this basic design in the literature. ********** 1869 As far as I know this design first appears in 'Der Kindergarten' by Hermann Goldammer, which was published by Habel in Berlin in 1869.
********** The same designs appears in 'Paradise of Childhood' by Edward Wiebe, which was published by Milton, Bradley and Company in Springfield, Massachusetts, also in 1869. ********** Four Kites also appears: 1873 In 'Exercices et Travaux pour les Enfants Selon la Méthode et les Procédés de Pestalozzi et de Froebel' by Fanny and Charles Delon, which was published by Librairie Hachette in Paris in 1873
********** 1874 In the third edition of 'Der Kindergarten' by Hermann Goldammer, which was published by Carl Babel in Berlin in 1874. *********** 1897 As 'Rosace à 4 branches' in 'Pliage et Decoupage du Papier' by C Savineau, which was published by Librairie Hatchette et Cie in Paris in 1897. The work also describes how to fold a background from a separate square which can be added to this design to effect a colour change.

The work also describes how to fold a background from a separate square which can be added to this design to effect a colour change. ********** 1913 Among several decorations developed from the Windmill Base to appear in 'Trabajo Manual' by C Champy Alvear, which was published by Cabaut y Cia in Buenos Aires in 1913. ********** 1951 Among several decorations developed from the Windmill Base to appear in 'Occupons nos doigts' by Raymond Richard which was published by Les Editions du Cep Beaujolais in Villefranche-sur-Rhone in 1951. ********** As 'Roseta Rhomboidal' in Plegado laminas published by Della Penna, April 1951. ********** |
