There are separate pages for The Non-Woven Star of David (version 2) and The Non-Woven Star of David (version 3) ********** 1892 As far as I know a version of this design first appears in 'Le Travail Manuel a L'ecole Primaire' by Jully & Rocheron, which was published by Librairie Classique Eugene Belin in Paris in 1892 contains a similar design, also folded from an equilateral triangle, in which the internal flaps are not interwoven but squashed for decorative effect.
********** 1910 In 'Die Frobelschen Beschaftigungen' by Marie Muller-Wunderlich, which was published by Friedrich Brandstetter in Leipzig in 1910.
********** 1939 As 'Roseta' in 'Trabajo Manual Educativo' by Araminta V Aramburu, which was published by F Crespillo in Buenos Aires in 1939.
********** As 'Estrella de 6 Puntas' in 'Plegado' by Rufino Yapur, which was published by Editores Independencia in Buenos Aires in 1939.
********** 1940 As 'Roseta de Tres Puntas' (Rosette with Three Points) in 'El Plegado y Cartonaje en la Escuela Primaria' by Antonio M Luchia and Corina Luciani de Luchia, which was published by Editorial Kapelusz in Buenos Aires in 1940.
********** 1951 As 'Roseta simple abierta' and 'Estralla de seis puntas' in Plegado laminas published by Della Penna, April 1951.
