| This
page is being used to collect information about the
history of the paperfolding design I call The Non-Woven
Star of David (version 2). Please contact me if you know
any of this information is incorrect or if you have any
other information that should be added. Thank you. There are separate pages for The Non-Woven Star of David (version 1) and The Non-Woven Star of David (version 3). ********** 1895 As far as I know this design first appears as an 'Etoile a 6 pointes' in 'La Deuxieme Annee de Travail Manuel (Cours Superieur)' by P Martin, which was published by Armand Colin et ces Editeurs in Paris in 1895.
********** 1897 As 'Rosace décorative' in 'Pliage et Decoupage du Papier' by C Savineau, which was published by Librairie Hatchette et Cie in Paris in 1897. The text explains how to fit two stars of different sizes together to create a compound design.
********** 1900 A modular decoration made from three nested Non-Woven Stars of David (Basic Version 2) appears in an article in El Monitor 331 of 30th September 1900.
********** 1910 In 'Die Frobelschen Beschaftigungen' by Marie Muller-Wunderlich, which was published by Friedrich Brandstetter in Leipzig in 1910.
