and history of the origami design which I call The Cut

information that should be added. Thank you. This design is folded from an equilateral triangle. This design first occurs in the books of Isao Honda and is possibly his original design. ********** 1957 As far as I know this design first appears as 'A Lobster' (photograph only) in 'Origami: Japanese Paper Folding', which was published in English by Toto Shuppan Company Ltd in Tokyo in 1957. ********** The design also appears: 1958 In 'Origami: Japanese Paper Folding: Monkey Book' (photograph only), which was published in English by Toto Shuppan Co Ltd in 1958. ********** 1959 As 'Lobster' in 'How to Make Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published by Toto Shuppan Co. Ltd in Japan. by McDowell Obolensky of New York in the USA and by Museum Press Ltd of London in England, in 1959. ********** 1960 As 'A Crawfish' in 'All About Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published by Toto Bunka Company, Limited in Tokyo in 1960. ********** 1965 As 'Crayfish' in 'The World of Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published by Japan Publications Trading Company in the USA in 1965. ********** |
