'Origami: Japanese Paperfolding: Monkey Book' by Isao Honda was published in English by Toto Shuppan Co Ltd in 1958 and distributed by Japan Publications Trading Company Ltd. The work is said to have been edited by the Toto Origami Club (a clear reference to the name of the publisher). whose President is named as Isao Honda. It is clear from the content and the diagramming style that Isao Honda was in fact the author of the work.

The author does not state whether the designs are traditional, his own original work, or the original work of some other designer.

There are diagrams for 15 designs, and photos of another 14, some of which had previously appeared in the 'Penguin book' in the same series.

7 folded models were glued onto the pages.
