This
page is being used to collect information about the
history of the modular paperfolding design I call The
Chinese Vase, which appears in cut and uncut versions.
Please contact me if you know any of this information is
incorrect or if you have any other information that
should be added. Thank you. ********** 1939 As far as I know this design first appears as 'Caja Japonesa' in 'Plegado' by Rufino Yapur, which was published by Editores Independencia in Buenos Aires in 1939. The text states that this design is also called 'vaso chino'. The top of the design is caut away to create an opening.
********** The same design appears: 1940 As 'Cofre Japonais' (Japanese Chest) in 'El Plegado y Cartonaje en la Escuela Primaria' by Antonio M Luchia and Corina Luciani de Luchia was published by Editorial Kapelusz in Buenos Aires in 1940.' ********** |
