Thank you. ********** In China (and in publications by Chinese authors) 1934 The design appears as 'Paper Ring' in 'Zhezhi Xinfa' (New Ways to Fold Paper), which was published by The Commercial Press in China in 1934. ********** In Europe and the Americas 1913 This design appears both as a ring for holding loose sheets of paper together and as a napkin ring in 'Trabajo Manual' by C Champy Alvear, which was published by Cabaut y Cia in Buenos Aires in 1913. *** ********** 1923 A method of making a paper band, without using glue, which can be used for securing bundles of papers together, appears in 'More Paper Magic' by Will Blyth, which was published by C Arthur Pearson in London in 1923. ********** 1932 The same design appears in 'Winter Nights Entertainments' by R M Abraham, which was first published by Constable and Constable in London in 1932. ********** 1960 This design appears as a method of making a Napkin Ring in 'Paper Folding Fun' by Robert Harbin, which was published by Oldbourne in London in 1960.
