and history of the origami design known as Persimmon.

Note that although the pictures on this page appear to show several very different designs they are in fact the same design made by varying the position of a crucial fold. ********** 1961 As far as I know rthis design first appears in 'The Art of Origami' by Samuel Randlett, which was published by E P Dutton in New York in 1961, where it is said to be a traditional Japanese design. ********** 1964 The design also appears in 'Secrets of Origami', by Robert Harbin, which was published by Oldbourne Book Company in London in 1964, where it is also said to be Japanese. ********** |
