The Bird-Base Pheasant - 1944 onwards

1951

A design for 'El Faisan' developed from a 19.5 x 11 rectangle which has been cut into a point using two 45 degree cuts at one end appears in 'Papiro-Zoo: Manual Practico de Papirologia o Cocotologia' (revised edition) by Giordano Lareo, which was published by Libraria 'El Ateneo' Editorial in Buenos Aires in 1951. It is a development of the Pavo Real / Peacock design usually attributed to Solorzano.

1964

A simple design for a 'Pheasant', and another for a closely related 'Mountain Fowl', both heavily cut, appear in 'Happy Origami: Butterfly Book' by Tatsuo Miyawaki, which was published by Biken-Sha in 1964.

The 'Pheasant' design also appears in 'Origami Land: Bossy Book' by Tatsuo Miyawaki was published by Biken-Sha in Matsuyama, Japan in 1967.
