Thank you. ********** The Slipper - 1873 This design, which is made from a right angle isosceles triangle, appears as 'Pantoffel' (The Slipper) in 'Die Praxis Des Kindergartens' by August Koehler, which was published by Herman Bohlau in Weimar in 1873. ********** 1904 A design for a 'Pantoffel' (Slipper) appears in 'Handbüchlein der Papierfaltekunst' (Handbook of Paperfolding Art) by J Sperl, which was first published by by H Hartleben's Verlag in Wien and Leipzig in 1904.
********** 1917 Two (very similar) designs for 'Women's Shoes' appear in 'Xu Zhe zhi tu shuo' (More Illustrated Paperfolding) by Yongxiang Shi, which was published by the Commercial Press in Shanghai in 1917.
********** The same book contains a design for 'Tiger Head Shoes'. One end of the box is glued together.
********** The same book contains a design for 'Old Women's Shoes'.
********** The same book also contains a design for 'Women's Western-style Leather Shoes'.
********** c1929 Booklet 3 of 'Trabajos Manuales Salvatella - Plegado de figuras de papel', which was published by Editorial Miguel A Salvatera in Barcelona around 1929, contains a design for 'La Bota', a boot folded from a square. *** The same design appears as 'Bota' in 'Una Hoja de Papel' by Lorenzo Herrero, which was published by Miguel A Salvatella in Barcelona in 1952. ********** 1963 A design for 'Santa's Boot', folded from a dollar bill, appears in 'The Folding Money Book', which was published by The Ireland Magic Co in Chicago in 1963. ********** 1968 A design for a Shoe folded from a dollar bill and attributed to Neal Elias appears in 'Folding Money, Volume Two' edited by Samuel Randlett, which was published by Magic Inc of Chicago in 1968.
