A design for a simple 'Christmas Tree' appears in 'Origami: Book One' by Florence Sakade, which was published by the Charles E Tuttle Company in Rutland, Vermont and Tokyo in 1957.

A Christmas Tree made from a dollar bill, and attributed to Neal Elias, appears in 'Folding Money, Volume Two' edited by Samuel Randlett, which was published by Magic Inc of Chicago in 1968.

The 1969 Rupert Annual contains a design for a Christmas Tree attributed to 'Mr Robert Harbin, the Origami man'.
