A hexagonal decoration titled 'Asa no Ha' (The Hemp Leaf) appears in issue 1895 / 12 of the Japanese children's magazine 'Shokokumin'.

1939

Several other decorations folded from hexagons appear in 'Plegado' by Rufino Yapur, which was published by Editores Independencia in Buenos Aires in 1939.

'Origami Shuko' by Isao Honda, which was published in 1944, contains diagrams for folding several hexagonal decorations (including the Hexagonal Rosette) from hexagons.

A hexagonal decoration titled 'Rosace etoilee' appears in 'Occupons nos doigts' by Raymond Richard which was published by Les Editions du Cep Beaujolais in Villefranche-sur-Rhone in 1951.

A design for a 'Six-sided Ornament' folded from a hexagon appears in 'The World of Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published by Japan Publications Trading Company in the USA in 1965.
