********** 1895 A hexagonal decoration titled 'Asa no Ha' (The Hemp Leaf) appears in issue 1895 / 12 of the Japanese children's magazine 'Shokokumin'.
********** 1939 Several other decorations folded from hexagons appear in 'Plegado' by Rufino Yapur, which was published by Editores Independencia in Buenos Aires in 1939. Rosetones Partiendo de Hexagone
********** 1944 'Origami Shuko' by Isao Honda, which was published in 1944, contains diagrams for folding several hexagonal decorations (including the Hexagonal Rosette) from hexagons.
********** 1951 A hexagonal decoration titled 'Rosace etoilee' appears in 'Occupons nos doigts' by Raymond Richard which was published by Les Editions du Cep Beaujolais in Villefranche-sur-Rhone in 1951.
********** 1965 A design for a 'Six-sided Ornament' folded from a hexagon appears in 'The World of Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published by Japan Publications Trading Company in the USA in 1965.
