Le Petit écho de la mode, February 1928 | |||||||
This article appeared in the issue of the French periodical 'Le Petit écho de la mode' of 26th February 1928. The text says, roughly, without the headings and folding instructions: 'Fashion advises us to avoid the folding of serviettes into too complicated shapes; but it is not opposed to what we seek to renew somewhat the simple line of serviettes laid flat ... Small serviettes ... may not be placed on the plate as larger serviettes. They lend themselves to the way indicated in rectangle A at the top of the page ... With large size serviettes ... Let us prepare a more complicated folding forming a kind of basket, following the indications provided by set B placed on the left of this page. Another arrangement ... Simple folding indicated at the right of this page (C). ' ********** ********** |
