1964/5

According to Vol 7: Issue 1 of 'The Origamian' for Spring 1967 (see entry below), Toshie Takahama came to New York with Kawai to demonstrate origami at the 1964/ 5 World's Fair.

1966

Volume 6, Issue 3 of 'The Origamian' for Autumn 1966 contains a letter from Toshie Takahama, looking for an old book, the 'Tsuru Hyakutai'.

1967

In May 1967 Toshie helped to establish the Sosaku Origami Group '67.

According to Vol 7: Issue 1 of 'The Origamian' for Spring 1967, Toshie accompanied Kawai when he came to New York to demonstrate origami at the 1964/ 5 World's Fair. The article which gives this information, 'Notes on the "Kanno Mado", quotes extensively from a letter from Toshie Takahama on this subject.

The same issue also contains an article, 'On Early Japanese Origami Books' written by Toshie Takahama, mentioning the 'Sembazuru Orikage' and the 'Chushingura'.

Vol 7: Issue 2 of 'The Origamian' for Summer 1967 contained an article about the 'Hina matsuri, Doll Festival', written by Toshie Takahama as well as a brief extract from one of her letters about the origami book collection of Mr On Miyashita.
