The Keilhau List of Objects by Eleonore Heerwart, 1853 | |||||||
The Keilhau List of Objects is a list, written by Eleonore Heerwart in 1853, of 'amusing paper toys' (ie traditional paperfolds) then known of / in use at Froebel's school at Keilhau . The list is mentioned at the foot of the first paragraph on page 15 of Heerwart's 'Course of Paperfolding' published in 1895. The objects known from this passage to be on the list, and therefore in existence in 1853 were: The Newspaper Hat The Pencil Case The Paper Boat The Soldier's Cap The Bellows The Puzzle Purse The Love Knot Letterfold The Cut and Fold Windmill The Slit and Assemble Cube Heerwart does not say if this was the complete contents of the list or whether it included other paperfolds as well. The current whereabouts of the list, or even whether it has survived, are not known. ********** |
