and history of the origami design I call the Standing
Crane. Please contact me if you know any of this

This design first occurs in the books of Isao Honda and is possibly his original design. ********** 1944 As far as I know this design first appears as 'Tachizuru' (Standing Crane) in 'Origami Shuko' by Isao Honda, which was published in 1944. ********** The design also appears: 1959 As 'A Standing Crane' in 'Origami: Japanese Paperfolding: Fuji Book' by Isao Honda, which was published in English by The Asahi Origami Club in 1959. ********** 1960 As 'A Standing Crane' in 'All About Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published by Toto Bunka Company, Limited in Tokyo in 1960.
The Independent Creativity chapter of this book shows how the pose of this design can be varied. ********** As 'A Standing Crane' in 'Pocket Guide to Origami: Bunny Book', by Isao Honda, whioch was published in English by the Asahi Origami Club (an imprint of the Toto Shuppan Company) in Tokyo in 1960. ********** 1961 As 'Japanese Crane' in 'Origami Zoo: Bird Book' by Isao Honda was published by Toto Shuppan Co. Ltd in 1961. ********** 1965 As 'Standing Crane' in 'The World of Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published in the USA by Japan Publications Trading Company in 1965.
