As far as I know this design first appears in 'The World of Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published in the USA by Japan Publications Trading Company in 1965.

As 'Basket' in 'Origami Folding Fun: Pony Book' by Isao Honda was published by Japan Publications Inc in Tokyo in 1967.

As 'Basket' in 'Origami Nippon' by Isao Honda, which is a paperback book published by Honda Origami Studio in Tokyo in 1970.

1970

As 'Basket' in 'Be Somebody! Colorgami Book 1' by Joleen Young, which was published by Young Handicraft Company in the USA in 1970.
