Thank you. ********** 1931 As far as I know this design first appears as 'Warbler' in 'Origami (Part 1)' by Isao Honda, which was first published in Japan in 1931. ********** 1968 Vol 8: Issues 1 and 2 of 'The Origamian' for Spring and Summer 1968 contained an article, 'Origami Scrapbook ... Signs of Spring', written by Peter Van Note, about two Japanese designs, one of which was the 'Song Bird'.
