Paper Pigs

The Pig - 1873 onwards

1917

A design for a Pig's Head appears in 'Xu Zhe zhi tu shuo' (More Illustrated Paperfolding) by Yongxiang Shi, which was published by the Commercial Press in Shanghai in 1917.

1960

A compound design for a 'A Pig' appears in 'All About Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published by Toto Bunka Company, Limited in Tokyo in 1960. The ears are created using a cut.

Paper Boars

1845

There is a rather basic design for a Wild Boar, made from the slit hexagon base, in the Kan No Mado, which is usually dated to 1845.
