Jeande in Paris in 1889, contains some examples of braiding, some of which are made using split strips or by weaving single strips onto split strips. ********** 1905 'Shukouka Kyohon : Liron Jishuu Souga Setsumei' by Kikujiro Kiuchi, Rokushiro Uehara and Hideyoshi Okayama, which was published by Shigebei Takase in Chiba in 1905, cotains several pages showing how to braid designs from split strips. ********** |
