'Les Paratonnerres' by MM B d'Aubigny et Boirie is a comedy first performed in Paris in 1921. It contains several passages mentioning cocottes en papier and a paper boat.

Roughly translated: 'Do you know how to make cocottes en papier? ... Cocottes? Thise are my forte ... my talent even extends to boats.'

There is also mention of 'des cocottes de papier' in a review of the play in the issue of 'Le Miroir des spectacles, des lettres, des mœurs et des arts' for 23rd November 1821. 'Ce L'Évincé tait,, pour amuser Fanfan , des cocottes de papier et des bulles dé savon; il gagne ainsi la confiance du petit mutin' (This L'Évincé made, for the amusement of Fanfan, paper casseroles and soap bubbles; he thus gains the confidence of the little mutineer).
