Kolumbus-Eier, 1899 | |||||||
'Kolumbus-Eier' was published in two volumes by Union Deutsche Verlagsgesellschaft in Stuttgart, Berlin and Leipzig. The 1st edition is undated but was probably published c1899. The title pages state that these books are a collection of items from the magazine 'Der Gute Kameraden' (The Good Comrade). I learned about these books from Edwin Corrie. A full copy of the first volume can be accessed online here. A full copy of the second volume can be accessed online here. **********
********** Analysis Volume 1 A rubber band powered launch tube for the Paper Parachute
********** Water Wheel The cones are made from thick folded cardboard.
********** Volume 2 The Spiral Snake
********** The Inflatable Frog The author does not appear to be aware that this 'Japanese paper frog' can be inflated.
********** How to Make a Chain from a Playing Card This design is only possible since 'each card consists of two sheets glued together'.
