Keisei ori tsuru, 1717 | |||||||
'Keisei ori tsuru' was published in 1717. The author of the work is unknown. It contains prints which show Paper Cranes and Komoso. Source: 'Oru Kokoro', the catalogue of an exhibition on paperfolding history held in Tatsuno City History and Culture Museum in 1999. I have not been able to find a copy of this work online. ********** In this picture a child studying in a terakoya (a school for the children of commoners) is writing a poem on the wing of a Paper Crane, while another Paper Crane and Komoso rest on a tabletop nearby (see detail). In the centre three figures look upwards at another Paper Crane flying above their heads. ********** In the left hand panel of this picture a woman rides on a large Paper Crane. ********** |
