How to Shrink a Bank Note | |||||||
This
page is being used to collect information about the
history of the magical effect in which a bank note is
creased / folded so that it appears to be of smaller size
than a standard note of the same denomination. Please
contact me if you know any of this information is
incorrect or if you have any other information that
should be added. Thank you. There are various ways of achieving this effect, all of which are being collected together on this page. ********** 1945 'Bill Folds' by Al O'Hagan, a 6-page leaflet issued by George Snyder's Magic Shop of Cleveland, Ohio in 1945, gave instructions for a methoid of apparently shrinking a dollar bill. ********** 1963 The same effect appeared as 'The Shrunken Dollar' in 'Fell's Guide to Papercraft: Tricks, Games and Puzzles' by Walter B Gibson, which was published by Frederick Fell Inc in New York and George McLeod Ltd in Toronto in 1963. ********** |
