'Die Zauberkunst' by Carl Ferdinand Leischner was published in Ilmenau, Thuringia, in 1831.

A copy of the work can be accessed here. Unfortunately the various plates are missing from this copy but I have reproduced Plate 2, the only plate relevant to the paperfolding items in the book, which is taken from a different source, below.

The Two Magic Wallets - The Chinese Wallet / The Buddha Papers

In this version the Chinese Wallet is used to swap the positions of the two paper envelopes which form the Buddha Papers, which contain playing cards, and are glued either side of the tapes of the wallet.
