1891

Two book folding designs appear in 'Illustriertes Spielbuch fur Kinder' by Ida Bloch was published by Otto Spamer in Leipzig in 1891.

1964 to 1972

'Folded Magazines Project' by Aleene Jackson, an 11 page magazine describing how magazines can be folded into a 3D objects,was published in 1964. 14 different objects were explained.

A second book 'Spring Projects made of Folded Magazines' by Aleene Jackson was published later in the same year.

This was followed by further books by Aleene Jackson:

'Projects Made of folded Magazines' in 1966

'Folded Magazine Novelties' in 1967

'More Folded Magazine Projecxts' in 1972
