Part 1 of 'Bilderswerkstatt als Arbeitsubung fur die Jugend in Schule und Haus' (Picture workshop as a work exercise for young people at school and at home) by Jan Daniel Georgens, was published in Glogau (then in Germany now in Poland) in 1856 (the Foreword is dated May 1856). Part 1 contains Froebel's Method of Cutting Four Squares from a Rectangle, diagrams explaining folding of some basic mathematical forms, and information about Auschneiden und Aufkleben. There is no mention of folded Forms of Life.

Part 2 was co-authored by Jean Marie von Gayette and was published in Glogau in 1857. (The Foreword is dated September 1857). Part 2 contains further information about Auschneiden und Aufkleben.
