Article in The Boy's Own Paper, 1st August 1891
 

This article describes how to fold The Chinese Junk via 'two boats, side by side' (The Double Boat), 'a box' (The Junk Box) and 'a picture frame without a picture' (The Mirror).

The author, who is unknown, states that 'Among the many curiosities made from a single piece of paper, I have seen boats, tea-cups, fish, frogs and even a kettle in which you could boil water' and that The last two were made from descriptions given in the Boy's Own Paper''. The instructions for the kettle wewre in the January 1891 issue. I have not been able to locate the instructions for folding the frog,
