This article by Alber contained diagrams for La fleur de lotus (The Lotus). The date of the issue of Mon Journal in which this article appeared, and photographs of the article, were kindly provided to me by Michel Grand. This article is referred to in another article by Alber in Mon Journal of 10th February 1900, where he says, roughly: 'We continue our series of paperfolds. In a recent issue, we have explained how to make a lotus flower, which was, we believe, unknown in France, and is a true curiosity.' It is also referred to in another article by Alber in Mon Journal of 11th August 1900, where he says, roughly: ' 'The lotus flower, that we taught you at the beginning of the year, and the frog are certainly the most curious paper constructions of little Japanese children. We believe we can affirm that they are currently unknown in France, and that it is our readers who have seen them first.' **********
