| This
article contains various mentions of 'pajaritas'
(including in the title). The text does not specifically
state that these pajaritas are folded from paper or make
any references to any parts of their anatomy by means of
which the design could be identified, but it seems likely
that they should be interpreted as Cocotte / Pajaritas. It is not clear to me what the nature of the 'broma' or 'practical joke' the story revolves around is, but it seems that making a larger 'pajarita' for the 'jefe' was seen as in some way insulting. possibly because the 'pajarita' represented idleness. For the story to work, this would have had to be a shared cultural understanding in Spain at that date. **********
