'A History of the Art of Magic' by T T Tiimayensis was published by J J Little and Co in New York in 1887.ention of the Paper Cup.

On page 133 there is mention of 'paper in the form of a drinking-cup', but, unfortunately, lacking an illustration, it is impossible to be completely sure that this is a reference to the Paper Cup design.
