'The Education of Man', a translation by A N Hailmann of 'Die Menschenerziehung' by Friedrich Froebel, with extensive additional notes by the translator, was published by D Appleton and Company in New York in 1887.

There are no references to paperfolding in the translated text but p109 contains a translator's note which does refer briefly to paperfolding.

The Translator's Preface contains a useful summary of the early development of Froebel's ideas and of the Kindergarten.
