Party Lines by Robert Harbin, 1963 | |||||||
'Party
Lines' by Robert Harbin was published by the Olbourne
Book Co in London in 1963. It is a book of tricks, stunts
and novelties that can be performed as entertainment at
parties, many of which involve folding paper,
handkerchiefs or napkins. The book also contains a
chapter devoted specifically to origami which includes
designs by Akira Yoshizawa, Ligia Montoya, Adolpho
Cerceda and the author. Somewhat surprisingly this
chapter also includes designs for two fold, cut and fold
animals. The following designs are presented in the book (although not in the order that they appear here): ********** Paperfolding Designs Upside Down - How to Turn a Bank Note Upside Down ********** The Tight-Rope Coin ********** Magic Paper-Clips ********** Mechanical Grab - The Sugar Tongs ********** Paper Spinner - The Whizzer ********** The Magic Book ********** The Button Puzzle - The Cherries Puzzle ********** The Key-Ring Puzzle - a version of the Cherries Puzzle ********** The Sofa Attributed to Adolpho Cerceda ********** The Party Hat - The Nagakabuto ********** The Gondola - The Chinese Junk ********** The Butterfly (Attributed to Alira Yoshizawa) - Yoshizawa's Butterfly ********** The Bird in Flight Attributed to Robert Harbin ********** The Tropical Bird Attributed to Ligia Montoya ********** Rabbit and Penguin (Two Fold, Cut and Fold Designs) ********** Handkerchief and Napkin Folding Designs Handkerchief Sausage ********** Handkerchief Doughnut ********** Handkerchief Mouse ********** The Ballet Dancer ********** The Elizabethan Shoe ********** Four Fans ********** The Lily ********** The Pyramid ********** The Water Lily ********** The Sachet ********** The Mitre - The Pipe Cap ********** The Napkin Vase ********** |
