Paper Aeroplanes by H G G Herklots, 1931 | |||||||
'Paper Aeroplanes' by H G G Herklots was published by W Haffer and Sons in Cambridge in 1931. It is a book of essays of which 'Paper Aeroplanes' is the first. I have not seen a full copy of this work. However, the full text of the author's essay on 'Paper Aeroplanes' was reproduced in the 'Preface to The Great International Paper Airplane Book (see below). In his essay the author distinguishes between paper darts, 'which go straight: that is all' and paper aeroplanes, of which 'the variety ... is almost endless.' Although no instructions are given it is clear that by 'paper aeroplanes' the author means cut and fold designs that are capable or aerobatic manoevres. **********
