'Easy Stunts with Paper' Article in Modern Mechanics, 1929
 
This article by Keenan H Ward, featuring the Hell version of the Fold and One Cut Latin Cross (here called the Passport Effect), the Ship's Wheel version of the Paper Doily (here called the Mariner's Wheel), the Newspaper Ladder (here called Jacob's ladder), the Salt Cellar (here called the Colour Pocket) and the Samurai Helmet (here called the Soldier's Hat), appeared in the December 1929 version of 'Modern Mechanics' magazine.
