Die Zehenmal Hundert und Eine Kunst by Albrecht Ernst Friedrich von Crailsheim, 1761 to 1766

'Die Zehenmal Hundert und Eine Kunst' by Albrecht Ernst Friedrich von Crailsheim, was published in ten parts, then brought together into one volume, complete with an extensive index, in Nurnberg in 1766. The dates of publication of each individual part and the paperfolding references they contain are given below.

I have not managed to find a fully complete version of the first edition online and the information on this page has been put together by using information from a number of separate online editions.

In this copy the title pages of the individual parts are all dated prior to 1776, but some pages are missing.

This copy has all the pages, but the dates on some of the title pages of the individual parts are after 1776.

Fold and cut paper birds etc attached to live insects - Fold and Cut Paper Animals

The text says, roughly, 'Fold a piece of paper in two, then cut out a bird, a turtle, or whatever you like and glue a fly in the middle of it with wax ...', the idea being that the the bird or turtle etc then appears to walk around the table under fly power. The text also mentions the possibility of doing this with two other kinds of insects a 'Rossteser' (meaning unknown) or a 'rote Käfer' (red beetle).
