'A
Practical Guide to the English Kinder Garten' by Joh and
Bertha Ronge was published by Hodson and Son in London in
1855. It contains brief sections on 'Paper Folding' (ie
Falten) and 'Cutting Paper' (ie Ausschneiden und
Aufkleben). A full copy of the 1855 1st edition can be accessed online here. A full copy of the 1858 2nd Edition can be accessed online here. ********** ********** ********** Analysis Paper Folding ********** Unfortunately there are no illustrations of the forms of 'box, basket, ship, boat, stars' mentioned here and consequently the designs cannot be identified. ********** 'Forms of recognition' is a phrase which does not occur elsewhere and I am not completely certain of its meaning. ********** ********** Cutting Paper This section describes how to fold a square of paper into an eight layered right angle isosceles triangle and gives examples of cuts that can be made into this form. It is notable for the sentence: ********** ********** |
